Jim's Upcoming Auctions
Auctions have become the preferred choice and most valuable method for selling almost any type of personal or commercial property today. In 2006 the value of goods and services sold at live auctions in the U.S. alone exceeded $200 billion dollars. Over one half of the U.S. population has attended a live auction and consider it to be both entertaining and a great way to get good deals on property being auctioned off. A good auction is known to always bring together satisfied buyers and sellers.
When a decision is made to sell by auction, the most important thing to remember is you must hire a qualified and experienced auctioneer to handle your auction. This is critical. The success of your auction is at stake.
So what do you look for when hiring an auctioneer or auction company and how can you be sure you’re hiring the right auctioneer?
The answer to that question is based on the auctioneer’s overall experience and track record. How long has the auctioneer been in business? What is their reputation? Does he or she have more than one specialty area? Does it complement the property you want to sell at your auction? These are all questions that should be asked to help insure that your auction to be a success.
